See if your question about coaching is answered below.

Who works with a coach?

What is the focus of coaching?

Who sets the agenda for the coaching call?

As a co-active coach (collaborative and active), I take the perspective that each client is creative, resourceful and whole. And so, you're in charge of the purpose of the coaching session. The only exception to this is during the initial Discovery Session where I'll collaborate with you to set the stage for our coaching relationship. During this call, you'll respond to questions designed to elicit values, worklife purpose, primary focus for future coaching and more. If we are following a program such as A Better Way to Work, you can expect we'll be following a structure and will be reviewing homework assignments. However, we'll customize the program to meet your needs.

Does a coach work on personal goals or business/professional goals?

Starting Fresh Coaching takes a holistic view of the client and recognizes that the client does not consist of separate areas such as career, health, relationship, family, and more. The client is whole and all of these are parts of the whole. That's why coaching is so effective. All issues (personal, business and professional) are grist for the mill.

What is the structure of the coaching?

First there is an initial complimentary telephone consultation with you, the potential client. Once we have established that we would like to work together, we arrange a time for a weekly phone call. There is no charge for periodic email communication between calls. A brief "check-in" call may also be allowed from time to time with no additional charge.

Coaching is a process that occurs over time and requires a commitment on the part of both the coach and the client. I don't ask for a contract from individuals, but I do ask for a minimum three-month commitment with monthly fees paid in advance at the beginning of each month. Should the coaching arrangement become unworkable for any reason, either party may withdraw at any time.

Who Pays for the Phone Charges?

If you live in the United States (including Hawaii), I'll be happy to call you. If you are in Canada or elsewhere in the world, we can meet via Skype or MSN instant messaging (includes voice if you have a headphone), otherwise, you'll be required to make the call.
